A Hands-On Path Into Healthcare
Legacy the School of Sport Sciences is a unique school that allows our students and student-athletes to operate in opportunities and responsibility. Our Sports Medicine Program is a plethora of learning opportunities, hands-on experiences, and application of concepts and theories.
We give students a safe place to learn, make mistakes within boundaries, increase confidence in their new abilities, and grow into the field of medicine. Students are also exposed to medical professionals working in clinics, hospitals, and rehab facilities throughout our community.
From Age 12 to 18 — Front and Center
From our youngest at 12 to our oldest at 18, the Sports Medicine Program at Legacy gives students ongoing opportunities to be hands-on and front-and-center, working with all athletic teams on campus performing real medical procedures: first aid, taping, emergency response, and rehabilitation.
Students provide medical response for team practices, home and away games, and travel with all sports during each individual season. They also have the opportunity to work outside events such as AAU Basketball and International Soccer Tournaments.
